June, 2012 - A long-time Friend of THE FARM and gentle soul, Leesha B. of Eau Claire, WI visited us and brought her girlfriend from Galena, IL with her. What a grand time we had with The Ladies and the rest of The Herd! It was good to catch up with Leesha and to begin to know Heidi.
Leesha made a donation to The Missions of THE FARM in honor and in memory of her sister, Naomi. She wrote:
"This donation given in memory of my sister - who loved horses. And I know she would have loved your farm & you."

December 2012 - Patty C. of Ontario, NY made a donation and sent a Refuge Farms 2013 calendar to her good friend Jill C. of Mundelein, IL in honor of Jill's sister, Carol. Patty's note expressed her desire that Jill know that horses gave her sister much pleasure in her life and that Patty remembered her fondly.
Jill, who is also a horse lover, has introduced Patty to the Parelli method of Natural Horsemanship and so now they all "speak the same language".

July 2014 - A generous donation was made in "memory of Liz-Beth" by one of her dear, long-term sponsors. The very meds that kept Liz-Beth moving without pain were sponsored by this couple who rarely saw Liz-Beth but thought of her daily and prayed for her constantly.
The donation will be used to purchase the two apple trees that will add to her and adorn her with blossoms and fruit. Both Liz-Beth's and Ole' Man Cole's trees will bear fruit which they will share with the horses currently residing at Refuge Farms.
