On Saturday, April 19th, we are hosting our Spring Applebee's Breakfast at the Menomonie location. We will be bringing Faith and PONY! and hope to have a great turnout!
Please consider your role - Will you help us in the kitchen with plate prep, beverage creation, or dishwashing? Will you help us serving plates to our guests or filling their beverages? Will you help at the Bake Sale? Or will you greet or seat our guests?
And yes, we will have a raffle so a person to sell raffle tickets to our guests will be needed, as well. This is all a fun time, for sure!
We arrive at the store at 7:15am and our first guests arrive just before 8am. We serve until 10am and then we are packed up and gone by 10:30am!
Colleen B. has published the details about the bake sale below and how to prepare your creations for the sale.
Thanks to Applebee's of Menomonie for their continual and willing support of our Missions. This is a cornerstone event for Refuge Farms. Thanks, Chris!!!
And thanks to you, the volunteers, for supporting THE FARM! If you want to help, please post to this bulletin board, and also your contribution to the bake sale, please!
Bakers wanted for the Applebee’s April Breakfast!
Once again we will be selling baked goods during the Applebee’s breakfast on Saturday, April 19th! We only have one table and a two-hour selling window, but you’d be amazed at how successful our bake sale is! Here are some helpful tips and ideas:
Breads – Large or small loaves, in white, wheat, pumpkin, poppy-seed, banana, etc.
Frosted Bars or Brownies – put 4 or 6 to a plate or box. Good sellers are 7-layer bars, peanut butter bars, and anything with chocolate!
Cookies – Put 6 or 12 to a bag or box. Good sellers are frosted sugar, peanut butter, chocolate chip, oatmeal, molasses, etc.
Candies & Specialties – Treats such as fudge, seasoned crackers, taffy, caramels, dipped pretzels, puppy chow, canned jams and jellies are great!
If you have craft items (handmade soap, crocheted dishcloths, homemade jewelry, etc.), these have sold well in the past as well.
Please post your donations to the bake sale on this bulletin board or email THE FARM so everyone will know and we won’t get overlap of items.
